ICYMI: Leading Small Business Group Recognizes Ron’s Record on Good Wisconsin Jobs

“Voted with small business every single time”

In case you missed it, Oshkosh manufacturer Ron Johnson was recognized for his work standing up for Wisconsin small businesses and jobs by the nation’s leading small business organization, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). The NFIB, which has about 11,000 members in Wisconsin, awarded Ron the Guardian award for “keeping small businesses in mind in the Senate.”

Andrew Wimer with the NFIB said, “Every two years, we look at how congressmen voted and try to determine whether they supported small business friendly decisions. In Senator Ron Johnson’s case, he voted with small business ever single time.”

Sen. Johnson wins national recognition

Wisconsin U.S. Senator Ron Johnson can add another Gaurdian award from the Nation Federation of Independent Business to his resume.

For the third consecutive time, Senator Johnson has been given the bi-annual award by the business collective as a thank you for keeping small businesses in mind in the Senate, according to Andrew Wimer (WHY-mer) with the NFIB.

He said, “Every two years, we look at how congressmen voted and try to determine whether they supported small business friendly decisions. In Senator Ron Johnson’s case, he voted with small business ever single time.”

Johnson is one of the few congressmen, including the full House and Senate, to receive the federation’s 100% voting rating this year.

Wimer said, “We reach out to members of congress, whether they’re in Washington or whether they’re in state capitols like Madison. We let them know how.. real small business owners feel about the big issues.”

Johnson has now won the Gaurdian award for each of his eligible years in offce.
