Ron Johnson Launches New Digital Ad on Protecting Second Amendment Rights

Ron will defend the right to keep and bear arms; Senator Feingold says one thing and does another on the Second Amendment

The Ron Johnson campaign launched a new digital ad today on Ron standing up for the Second Amendment rights of Wisconsinites. In the ad, Ron says he will protect the right to keep and bear arms, a sharp contrast to Senator Feingold saying one thing and doing another during his 18 years in Washington by voting for judges who threaten our Second Amendment rights.

You can watch the ad, which will run statewide on online and social media platforms, here. The ad features Ron wielding a shotgun at a shooting range, and opens with him saying, “Your right to keep and bear arms. Your ability to protect your family is at risk.

“Senator Feingold promises to protect those rights, but that’s not what his record shows. During his 18-year Senate career, he supported judges who voted to deny your individual Second Amendment right, and he’d do it again if elected to a fourth term. One more liberal justice will flip the court.

“I’ve held firm defending the Second Amendment, and will continue to do so.”
Key Facts:

  • Ron has fought to protect Wisconsinites’ Second Amendment right to bear arms and ability to protect their homes and families. He has done this while supporting reasonable reforms to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists, including proposals by Sens. Chuck Grassley and John Cornyn.
  • Despite promising to protect the Second Amendment, Senator Feingold has repeatedly voted to undermine it, including by voting to confirm Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.
