From KDAL:

Senator Ron Johnson and Congressman Sean Duffy have sent a letter to President Obama urging his support for disaster assistance for those affected by flooding in northern Wisconsin this week.

Governor Scott Walker declared a state of emergency for Douglas, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Iron, Price, Sawyer and Washburn Counties following the storms that brought torrential rain, damaging winds and flooding to the region.

In their letter, Johnson and Duffy said they “understand that the Governor may seek additional Federal resources to ensure an effective response beyond what capabilities that the State and local governments can provide.”  If so, the lawmakers are urging the President to promptly review the request from the state.

Those counties affected by the flooding are now in the process of determining the amount of damage to roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
