Ron Johnson is Badgering Washington into Real Reforms for Wisconsin Taxpayers
Yesterday, Ron Johnson introduced the BADGER Washington Act – a package of 19 bipartisan bills that will cut wasteful spending and hold the federal government accountable that is a clear contrast to Senator Feingold’s decades of broken promises on federal spending and good government highlighted in a recent Johnson campaign ad.
“Ron is badgering Washington into real reforms on behalf of hard-working Wisconsin taxpayers while Senator Feingold continues his old habit of saying one thing and doing another,” campaign spokesman Brian Reisinger said. “The BADGER Washington Act is a real solution to make the federal government more efficient and effective, and hold bureaucrats accountable – Senator Feingold is still offering lip-service and broken promises.”
Key Facts:
- The BADGER Washington Act is a collection of 19 bipartisan bills that cut wasteful spending and hold government accountable that have passed out of Ron’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in the Senate.
- Ron is committed to standing up to Washington. He supports the Balanced Budget Amendment and helped Republicans pass a balanced budget last year that included the Johnson 30-year budget window to give a clear view of America’s fiscal challenges. He is also pushing for pro-growth tax reform and regulatory reform to spur economic growth and create more opportunity for Wisconsinites.
- Senator Feingold is a typical career politician who has promised for decades to deal with federal spending but has only earned a “Deficit of Trust” with Wisconsin taxpayers.
