#RonOnTheRoad: Baking Donuts, Wisconsin Elections, Keeping America Safe

It’s been a busy week in Wisconsin with the national spotlight on our state! Despite everything going on, Ron hasn’t missed a beat in working hard for Wisconsinites and pushing real solutions to keep us safe.

Ron joined supporters at the Winnebago Lincoln Day Dinner and the Fond du Lac Lincoln Day Brunch, talking about his vision to get our country back on track and our path forward for victory in November.

Ron also stopped by Mix It Up Bakery in Fond du Lac where Scott and Jeanne are running a great, family-run small business. He also talked with some supporters and even made some Persian donuts that turned out pretty darn good!

Ron has continued his work to keep us safe. He joined CNN’s State of the Union and again made the case that we need a comprehensive strategy to destroy ISIS and “find terrorists wherever they exist and wipe them out.” He also argued against the president’s reckless plan to close Guantanamo Bay, and warned that we need to protect our critical infrastructure from attack.

On Tuesday, Ron held the first hearing on the Brussels attacks. The day before, he told Wolf Blitzer on CNN’s Situation Room that the U.S. is at risk of terrorists slipping into the country – and cited border security, his legislation to root out terrorists, and NATO as important to keeping Wisconsin communities safe.

Ron also commented on what he thought about Wisconsin’s primary elections that occurred on Tuesday night. He said, “From my standpoint, what the primary shows is that the Republican base is energized. We’re activated. And we’re going to be coming out I think in droves in November.”

The Brewers started regular season play this week, which means summer is getting closer! Make sure to follow #RonOnTheRoad on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram before you miss too much!
