Ron Johnson Announces Senior Staff Additions to Finance and Digital Operations

The Ron Johnson campaign today announced the addition of two senior staff with experience in both Wisconsin and national political campaigns to its existing finance and digital operations. Kari (Rezin) Hofer has joined as Wisconsin Finance Director, and Eric Sherred has joined as Digital Director.

Hofer brings her extensive Wisconsin fundraising experience to the existing finance team headed by Kirstin Hopkins. Hofer served as Finance Director for the Republican Party of Wisconsin from 2007-2010 under Reince Priebus, who then served as state party chair before becoming Republican National Committee chairman.

She has also served as Finance Director for the Hawaii Republican Party and Deputy Finance Director for Linda Lingle’s 2012 U.S. Senate campaign. Hofer is from Tomah, attended UW-Madison, and lives in Madison with her husband, a naval flight officer in the U.S. Navy.

Sherred heads the campaign’s existing digital team, working with the finance and communications departments to target Ron’s message with donors and voters. Prior to joining Ron’s campaign, Sherred was on the digital team for Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential campaign, serving as inbound marketing director.

He has also done digital work for Sen. Rick Santorum’s 2012 presidential campaign, the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and the gubernatorial campaigns of Gov. John Kasich of Ohio and Bill Haslam of Tennessee. Sherred is from Sulphur, Ky., and attended Purdue University.
