Sen. Ron Johnson has never shied away from addressing a threat and has continued to stand up to President Barack Obama’s failed foreign policy doctrine. As chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, he has used legislative oversight to ensure the Department of Homeland Security is effective and has advocated for the U.S. to create and lead a broad coalition to take on ISIS forces.
In contrast, Sen. Russ Feingold voted against the Patriot Act, and also while in the U.S. Senate voted against the creation of the Department of Homeland Security after 9/11 and has given his full-fledged endorsement of Obama’s foreign policy — saying he is likely the most “intuitive” in history.
We need to send Johnson back to the Senate in 2016 to keep Wisconsin and the U.S. secure against terrorists determined to destroy our society.
