RECAP #RonOnTheRoad: Pierce County, Pepper Fest & State Fair

Wisconsin’s fair and festival season was in full swing last week, and Ron was in on the action!

This past weekend, Ron hit the Pierce County Fair, walked in the Pepper Fest parade, and swung by the Wisconsin State Fair one last time before it wrapped up for the year.

Everywhere Ron goes it’s clear: More and more Wisconsinites are turning to the common sense solutions and conservative reforms Ron and Wisconsin Republicans are fighting for in 2016.

Pierce County Fair

Ron started Saturday morning off bright and early and was able to make an unexpected visit to the Pierce County Fair. He strolled through the fair talking with fair-goers and spent time at the Pierce County GOP booth.

The grassroots volunteers at the GOP booth had lots of great information on hand on the conservative leaders Republicans are working to elect in 2016 – not to mention a presidential straw poll. They weren’t advertising results just yet, but it sure looked like there were a lot of Scott Walker fans out there!

Pepper Fest

Next, Ron traveled to North Hudson where he joined in the area’s celebration of its Italian heritage – Pepper Fest. He walked in the parade with the St. Croix County Republican Party and many of his supporters — as well as those of Congressman Sean Duffy.

In addition to walking with Republican grassroots volunteers, Ron got to spend time with supporters of State Assemblyman Dean Knudson, the local 4-H and many other community groups. It was hot out there, but Ron got the chance to talk with hundreds of people, and it was great to see the community come together to put on a fantastic event.

Wisconsin State Fair

Finally, Ron closed out the day back at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis – the third time in ten days! Ron took in the sights one last time and greeted fair-goers at the GOP booth.

The state fair is reporting its highest attendance since 1969, which is a credit to all of the great men and women who worked so hard to make it a success. Ron was happy to be a part of the action and get the chance to listen to the concerns of so many folks from all over the state – and to get his share of corn dogs and cream puffs.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted as Ron continues his travels througout the state, and please remember to keep track of #RonOnTheRoad on Facebook and Twitter. As always, thanks for all you do!
