While Ron has been pushing real solutions to keep our country safe – from taking the fight to ISIS to keeping terrorists off of U.S. soil – Senator Feingold has continued to show he’s dangerously weak on national security. And people are starting to notice:
The Wisconsin GOP is launching its first ad of the campaign of the cycle, attacking former Sen. Russ Feingold (D) on foreign policy. The ads, which began running statewide Thursday, “links Feingold to President Barack Obama on national security and Middle East affairs.”
Meanwhile, Feingold was on the trail Thursday discussing those same issues. He told supporters at an event in Madison that he “supports using special military operations to target ISIS leaders — a strategy already being employed by the Obama administration.”
The Republican Party of Wisconsin’s first ad of the campaign, which its spokeman said will run statewide Thursday, links Feingold to President Barack Obama on national security and Middle East affairs. Recent polls show most Americans disapprove of Obama’s handling of those matters, particularly of his approach to the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL.
Feingold, speaking Thursday in Madison at an event promoting paid family leave, said he supports using special military operations to target ISIS leaders — a strategy already being employed by the Obama administration.
